Every PDO thread lift at The Beauty Fix Medspa is customized based on facial anatomy, tissue quality, degree of laxity, and treatment goals. Different types of PDO threads may be selected depending on whether the goal is tissue repositioning, structural support, or collagen stimulation.
PDO Barbed Threads
Barbed PDO threads are designed to reposition and support lax facial tissue, creating a subtle lifting effect without surgery. They may be used in appropriately selected areas of the midface, lower face, jawline, and other areas where tissue laxity is present.
The Beauty Fix Approach: Patient selection matters. PDO threads are not intended to replace lost facial volume or create the dramatic correction of a surgical facelift. We evaluate facial anatomy, tissue thickness, volume loss, and skin laxity to determine whether threads—or another treatment approach—will create the most natural-looking result.
PDO Threads Smooths/Twists
Smooth and twist PDO threads are used primarily for collagen stimulation and skin support rather than mechanical lifting. Depending on the patient’s anatomy and treatment goals, they may be used in selected areas to improve skin quality, fine lines, and mild laxity over time.
The Beauty Fix Approach: We use smooth and twist threads strategically in areas where improved collagen support and skin quality are the goal. Placement and thread selection are customized based on anatomy, tissue quality, and the area being treated.
